This morning Josh, J.D., Lily and I met with Sandi, Dustin, Aaron and Katie over at mom and dad's for a day at the beach. Our first stop was at Cannon Beach. Our goal was to get there during low tide. I really wanted J.D. to be able to see the sea creatures that live in the tide pools, but we were about an hour too late. None-the-less we still had fun walking on the beach, chasing the waves and finding pretty pieces of shells along with a few dead jellyfish and birds.

Lily's first trip to the beach!

A really big jellyfish

Taking a closer look...
J.D. was brave enough to touch the jellyfish we found

Lily loved playing in the sand!
She didn't mind getting dirty one bit

After lunch, we headed to Seaside to walk along the shops. We also stopped briefly to watch the beachball tournament that was going on. Not too impressed with that, we continued on and enjoyed some icecream and some saltwater taffy.
Then we went to eat dinner at a seafood restaurant that none of us (besides Josh) had ate at before and it was quite good.
