Go 4th

This year for the 4th of July Josh was able to join us for the parade.
J.D. helped pick out pictures of the parade for you to see.

He thought that this dog with stars was hilarious

I had to share the foster parenting float

Lily enjoyed the dance baton group

She also enjoyed the horses, one of which she said was Journey,

After the parade we packed up and headed over to Papa and Grandma's for the rest of the day. Jim, Lynn, Peter and Katie joined us as usual. We all ate lunch then walked down to the lake for the petting zoo. There were donkey's, an alpaca, rabbits, miniature horses and a horse.

After the petting zoo we decided to head over to do some games for the kids, but Lily wasn't interested in doing the games. So while J.D. played I took Lily to get some face painting done. Out of all the pictures available ( hearts, butterflies, rainbows for the girls) she chose a red train.

And the lady who painted it thought that she must have needed a mini-train. Seriously, a quarter would have covered it up.

Then we walked back to Papa and Grandma's for some dinner before heading back for the fireworks.

During dinner, the newlyweds showed up for a bite to eat. The place they had picked to go to for their honeymoon was boring, so after 1 day away they came back.
Then after Aaron and Katie left and dinner was picked up we all changed into warmer clothes and headed back to the lake to claim our spots for the fireworks.
