As I am typing this, Josh is trying to pack his bag for a weekend conference that he is attending, and getting the kids settled into bed. I have offered to help, but he is adamant that he can do, and wants to do, both.
Anyways, starting tomorrow, its going to be a very long weekend. Josh works until 6pm, then from there he will head to the coast where he will be until Sunday afternoon, possibly even later. I am honestly not expecting him back until the late afternoon. Then on Monday we all have to be up early and out the door to head for Seattle.
It's time for J.D.'s check-up on his kidney. His first appointment with Ultrasound is at 2pm. After that we wait and have a follow up appointment with the specialist. Right now I am not too worried about the appointment. Last check-up she said that his kidney was working just fine and that she didn't need to see him for 2 years (which brings us to now). However, I know myself, and I know that when we step through that hospital door, I will become nervous. And then as we wait to see the specialist I will become more of a wreck, then as we are taken back into the room I will be all fidgety. As we waited for the specialist 2 years ago, they took us into a completely separate room, one with a couch, plush chairs, and I knew something was wrong. Why else would they take us into such a nice, comfortable room? Turns out I was worrying over nothing. Everything was fine. And I know in my heart that everything will be fine again, its just that I associate everything with past experiences. SO, could you please be praying? Just a blanket prayer will work, because He already knows what's going to happen, and all of our anxious thoughts. Monday will be a long day, we will have to make it up there and back before night because Josh heads back to work Tuesday morning. On the bright side, we are hoping to go to the water fountain in Seattle, weather permitting of course.
