Fort Day

With our backyard being nothing but one huge mud pit, the kids are getting restless. So am I! So in hopes to put an end to pointless fighting, I broke out a tent and blankets. We built a fort and tunnels. And it worked! Infact, I told the kids to go get toys or books to play with in the fort and they didn't want any. They played together peacefully for hours! And since they did so well, they got to eat their snacks and lunch in their fort as well. I got to get my baking and laundry done with less than 15 interruptions.

Now that Christmas is over, I am ready for some nice warm (not hot!) weather where we can spend all day outside and eat some picnic lunches under our tree. And BBQ of course.
