So since Monday Josh and I have been apart...him on his Great Escape trip, and me at home with the kids. He came back home last night, and you could tell that the kids really missed him. In fact, this morning, they seem to think that he has left them again.
Anyways, he will have to post about his trip, but I can tell about what the kids and I did while he was gone.

MONDAY was spent running errands in town and going to appointments until late afternoon. Grandma Graber came to spend the night with us. My friend, Denise, came up after work to go riding horses with me while my mom and Grandma Graber watched the kids.
Riding horses with Denise was so much fun! I am hoping we can do it more often...now that she has her own saddle!
Denise got to ride on Buddy, and I rode Kenya. Buddy is an easy, low-key horse. Kenya is an ex-race horse, so all she wants to do is run. Kenya was doing pretty good, just either walking or trotting when all of a sudden she bucked me once, then took off on a dead run. I was not prepared and all I could think of was "I'm going to fall off and break every bone I have!" I couldn't stop her, and Aaron and Katie were hollering "Lean back in the saddle!" which was near to impossible because of how unprepared I was. Kenya was heading to a patch of grass which Aaron had warned Denise and I earlier about that was hiding a piece of heavy farm equipment. I thought for sure we were going to hit it. Thankfully, last minute Kenya turned and stopped.
I think Aaron was just a little relieved that I didn't fall off. He knows my history with broken bones.
Anyways, after that Katie got on Kenya and I got on Buddy. Katie was able to convince Aaron to double with her, so Denise and I both tried to ride on Buddy...which didn't work out. Trying to get both of us on him, we almost pulled the saddle sideways.
It was so much fun, and Denise walked away with a practically brand-new saddle that Katie was selling.

TUESDAY Grandma Graber left to head back home. The kids and I stayed home. I made more laundry soap and home-made cleaners that were getting low. We did a quick "sweep through cleaning" and had a movie night.

WEDNESDAY was spent packing items that did not sell at our Relay for Life sale. Mom came and helped haul what we could to GoodWill. After lunch, she took J.D. home with her, so that left me and Lily. Girl's Night! We painted our nails.

THURSDAY afternoon we headed to the fair. Katie has her horse, Journey, entered into the fair, so we went to pay her a visit. Josh had left me some money for "just-in-case". I took some for J.D. to go on some rides...but I splurged and bought extra tickets for me! Katie and I went on the Kamikaze together. Fairs always remind me of high-school summers; one year in particular. Katie and Aaron also had an extra concert ticket for Jake Owen, so I took it and stayed for the concert. Katie and I waited in line early to get some good seats. The concert rocked! He is a great entertainer, he came into the grandstands where we were and interacted with his fans. He stopped right by me and I shot Aaron a look saying "I hope he doesn't sing to me". Thankfully he moved on.

And that was my week!
(Wish I had pictures, but Josh had the camera)
