Standing On The Promises of God

You ever have one of those days where NOTHING goes right? If you are honest, you have those days quite often.
Today was one of these days for us. Nothing seemed to be going right. As the day went on, things seemed to get tighter financially for us. It got to the point where I was stressing on the inside about the coming week...bills, food and a wedding shower I am organizing. The money we do have wouldn't cover it all.
So I took to my journal and let out my frustrations and listed everything that needed to be done this week that intertwined with money. Then I wrote "Money? No. Miracle? YES."
And I left it to God.
That's when things started looking up.
I talked to two people tonight concerning the wedding shower. Not once did I ask for help. They volunteered. My friend even offered her own wedding decorations to use at the shower. All I have to do is find pink roses. A huge burden was lifted off my shoulders. Then tonight, after I was done talking to these people this is what I saw out my front door...
A RAINBOW
and not just a small, faint one.
But a BRIGHT FULL one.
And I knew that everything was going to be OK. God is watching out for me, for my family. He knows our needs for this coming week and He IS working miracles.
Yes, there are still things that we don't have money for these next few days...but don't you think that if God can provide decorations for a wedding shower He will certainly provide more essential things?
I do. And I am standing on that promise.
