A Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

This afternoon we went to a local pumpkin patch. I had asked Josh earlier this month if we could go to one. I have not been to one since I was in kindergarten, and thought J.D. would have fun going to one, and it would also be a nice thing for us to do as a family.

It had been raining on and off all day long, and when we got to the pumpkin patch the rain had stopped. We were lucky to have a break in the rain to find our pumpkins!

And so the search began...
We asked J.D. what kind of pumpkin he wanted. We were told a baby pumpkin. Every "baby" pumpkin we found he didn't really seem that thrilled about. And so we searched on.
We finally found a pumpkin for all of us plus when Josh went to go pay, he found a true baby pumpkin for J.D.

J.D. fell in the mud and didn't enjoy being dirty.

On our way back to the truck the sky opened up and we got down poured on.

Josh ran ahead and put Lily in the truck while J.D. and I walked. A nice farm worker came in a vehicle and offered us a ride, but J.D. wouldn't get in, so we continued on in the heave rain. I didn't mind it one bit, but J.D. didn't think it was too fun.

I tried to take pictures of the downpour.
They didn't turn out too good, but if you closely,
you will see the rain hitting the mud.

We were drenched! We had to take pictures of each other...

J.D. wasn't too happy that he didn't have his pants on.
We had to take them off because they were dirty.

Lily enjoyed the rain.
Josh would try to cover her up and she would push away.

I personally enjoyed out trip to the pumpkin patch. It was defiantly a highlight this fall for me.
With J.D. falling in the mud and us being caught in the downpour just made it more memorable for me.
These are the type of memories I cherish.
