Carving Pumpkins

On Monday night we carved our pumpkins.
I enjoy carving the pumpkins, but my favorite part is
scooping out all the seeds and fibers. I love the smell of a fresh cut pumpkin!
It was really fun to have J.D. be more involved this year with the carvings.
I thought about doing a small devo with the carving, but I couldn't remember the pumpkin devo that goes with it. I just remembered the part where God takes out all the gunky stuff and puts His light in us.
None-the-less we had a lot of fun, and enjoyed some toasted pumpkin seeds afterwards!
Even Lily got in on the fun!
J.D. wouldn't stick his hands inside the pumpkin to help take out all the seeds, but once Lily put her hand in there, he had no problem....as long as he had a spoon!

J.D.'s pumpkin apparently wasn't done.
Here he is putting on the finishing touches to it.
