This weekend was our Relay For Life. As usual, it was held at our fairgrounds, but this year the weather was not so "summery". Instead of the sun beating down on us and trying to stay hydrated, we had to deal with occasional downpours that would last for a few minutes. When things would just almost be done drying, another downpour would begin. Our site was extra small this year, so trying to get everything and everyone under our canopy to stay dry was a challenge.
Many walkers were drenched, and lucky ones had umbrellas.

Our team donated things for the Silent Auction that was held. Grandma and I made rag quilts (one for a boy, the other for a girl) while Kathy and I supplied and made two diaper cakes (one for a boy and one for a girl).
Our team also had a few games set up and kids could play all three games for .25 and win school supplies.
Unfortunately, not all the pictures that I took downloaded to our computer. Hopefully we can get the rest transferred and you can see more pictures.

Nice post, you really worked hard on the prep for relay--congratulations. The quilt and diaper cakes look great!
Susie, the quilt you made is beautiful!!!! Why is it called a rag quilt? Did you sell it? It was too pretty to give up. The diaper cake is so unique! It didnt rain here one bit. Wish it had.
