A New Years Resolution

I wasn't going to do a resolution for this year, but yet again I have been convicted of things that I would like to change. This time on how I spend my time, and especially what things I let sneak in ahead of my priorities. I hate it when that happens!
I was looking at a website one afternoon when I came across "free gifts for Christmas". Four out of the six of them spoke right to me. These four are the things that I have been feeling guilty of and I decided to claim them as my own, since I need alot of growth in these areas.

So, here are my four resolutions. And its going to take alot of discipline.

#1 Attention this is a HUGE one for me. So often I get caught up on the little things around me, that I don't give someone my full attention. So I want to make sure that Josh, J.D. and Lily know that they are special, that they are not in the way of what I am doing. Instead, I need to remember that they are my priorities.

#2 Encouragement I want to encourage my family in the things that they are doing well.

#3 Today this has to be number one on my list. I don't know how many times J.D. and Lily will ask me to do something with them and I will tell them "Just wait" or "In a minute" and quite honestly it never gets done. Again, the little things that creep in on my priorities! I am going to give them today, this moment when they ask for my time. Because time goes by too quickly.

#4 Grace I need to be more graceful with Josh and the kids and look on "the other side" of things.
