Sprucing Things Up

The past few days I have been painting and putting on my kitchen cupboard doors. I have to say that the kitchen looks "brand new" with the doors on. The kitchen also has a white glow to it, so I am on the look out for some ivy transfer decals to put on the cupboards. The kitchen has a ivy counter top tile theme, and the floor is white and green tile.

Also, I have been busy working on our backyard, trying to give it some help. We reseeded the yard back in May, and the grass is finally growing back strong...in some spots. Other places it is very much still delicate.
So this afternoon I moved back the play-yard and laid pea rock down under the play tower. That left a huge dirt hole where the play-yard had been during our reseeding project. I didn't want to reseed just a hole, so I thought what in the world could I do with it? Then the most brilliant idea came to me. I asked Josh what he thought about it, and he said that it was perfectly fine. I am going to make a Worm and Bug Garden for Lily and myself! We can dig for worms for the chickens, and at the same time, look and collect bugs.
You may be thinking that we can do that anyplace in the yard, and yes we can...but I don't want our entire back yard dug up for worms when we can just have one designated spot. Especially now that we have grass again.
So now my Worm and Bug Garden is going to be my new project. And it will be so cheap to do!

I still would like to get a flower garden started in the front on the other side of our fence, but I don't see that happening any time soon. We also need to finish off the chicken coop; we are going to put more wire on, make our door, and also put on a latch for our egg door. Which this morning I found our first eggs...3 of them! Yay!!
