A few weeks ago Josh ordered us a 2 baby chicks and 2 ducklings over the computer. We waited anxiously for them, hoping any day we would receive a phone call from our post office saying to come and get them. Finally, 3 days after receiving an email saying that they were all hatched and on their way we got the phone call. Josh picked them up and brought them home, but along the way we had lost quite a few. All together, we had 19 baby chicks and ducks sent to us...our 4 and the remaining ones were warming chicks. That day, almost every hour, one more chick or duck would pass, and another would go down. We now have 4 remaining, but our 4 passed on the first day. So now we have these guys...and yes, the box said that the warming chicks were males. Unfortunately, we can't have roosters, only hens. So these guys need a new home. When we find them one, we will start all over again, only this time we are hoping for a better outcome.

A heat lamp may help alot, but may be a hazard for the kids. Cute video "they are tickling me, Daddy"
