Friday was National Pro-Life Cupcake Day, or Cupcakes for Life. Cupcakes for Life is to help remind students (high school and college) that for every ten children born alive in America, three more are aborted.
The cupcakes are handed out in remembrance to all the unborn children who were not allowed to celebrate their 1st birthday.
Carrie and I had decided this was something we needed to do, no question about it.
After much calling around and gathering information of what we can do and can’t at our local community college campus, we decided to set up a booth in our church’s parking lot. We get a lot of foot traffic every day, and the road we are on is a busy one, plus a day care has recently opened next door to us.
We handed out cupcakes to people, young and old all day.
With a little over 20 dozen cupcakes we were ready to let people know that we care about all the unborn babies.
It was a very rewarding day, and I walked away refreshed.
Even if one unborn baby was saved from abortion our cause is so worth it!

Since Friday was also my birthday, Josh took me out that evening to dinner at Olive Garden in Vancouver. It’s a real treat for us to be able to go out to dinner without tag-a-longs, but it makes it even more special to go to Vancouver. After eating out delicious course’s, we came back home.
Saturday, Josh surprised me by taking the day off work to spend with us. It was fun to have him home on a Saturday. That evening we had a small birthday party. Josh again surprised me by getting Fultano’s pizza…one of the best places to make pizza ever! We enjoyed eating our taco pizza’s and birthday cake and watching J.D. and Lily play around.

Then on Sunday, after Sunday School we headed to Neskowin to visit Josh’s Dad and his wife Jan.

The Graber Boys
Neskowin is a very small town on the Oregon Coast, but it is lovely! We rented a room for the night and were able to enjoy one of the longest visits with them in a very long time.
The campground where they were staying at was also home to a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of wild rabbits. But these rabbits were also tame enough to eat out of your hand as we found out.
Jan had some baby carrots on hand, so J.D. enjoyed feeding as many bunny rabbits as he could. This was his favorite thing while we were there. There was hardly a second where you did not see a rabbit.

A curious bunny
As soon as you stepped out of the camper there was a handful of rabbits at your feet waiting to be fed.
They were under the campers and trailers, under the trucks and cars, picnic tables…everywhere!
While being fed, if you were quick enough, you could also sneak in a pet or two before the bunnies darted off.
