I haven't ridden a horse in so long, so it was fun to get back up in the saddle.
This horse in the picture, Buddy, didn't really do much. He just walked in small circles and always headed back to the barn. I wanted to ride!
Katie had her own horse, Kenya, saddled, and had Aaron on her. He didn't want to ride her because she is ruff. I told him I'd trade horses. He jumped at the offer so we switched.
Kenya used to be a race horse and all she wants to do is run! Thankfully, today, she wasn't as hard to handle as she normally is. We trotted and she got to gallop a few times (which I wasn't too ready for). It was so much fun I didn't want to leave. Next time I'll bring J.D. and maybe he can sit up on Buddy.
I'm hoping to go ride again sooner than later.
