A Trip to the Zoo

On Monday we took a day trip to the zoo. Sunday night Josh told J.D. that we would go see animals and ride a train the next day; so first thing out of his mouth on Monday morning was "Go see animals and ride train!"

Despite the zoo being packed with tons of kids for day camps, it was very fun. Josh and I enjoyed J.D. getting excited over seeing animals in real life that he has only seen in books and on tv (he loves animal planet!). As for Lily, she just put up with us and the heat, but she did really good! We will have to go back again in a couple of years for her.

Lunch Break!

When I was in 1st grade my class went to the zoo and I have a picture of me on this exact elephant from that field trip. I had to get pictures of J.D. and Lily on it too!



Now back to the animals!

Last time Josh and I were at the zoo, we went on the train and
it was really loud and grinding. I thought that Lily would not appreciate the noise,
but this time they fixed it! If I had known that we would have all gone.

Nonetheless, J.D. really enjoyed the trip around the park and zoo.
