Mother's Day Tea

This year our church held a tea to honor moms of all ages. Carrie and I planned the event together and spent all afternoon yesterday cooking and preparing our food.

We had five courses:
Scones, Fruit, Sanwiches, Dessert and Chocolate.

Carrie's mom made the scones and they were delicious! We had cashew chicken salad, egg salad, and cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches. Dessert was lemon bars, short bread cookies, boiled raison cookies and thumbprint cookies. And for the chocolare course we had chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate chip cookies, cream puffs and oreo cheese cake.

The cooking and preparing was alot of work and Carrie did the cucumber sandwiches all by herself this morning. Dana Wood, mom and Teresa helped by making the cookies and bars.

We also asked women to host tables. By doing this, they brought a setting of 8 plates, cups and saucers, along with a center piece that was given away as a prize.

Elaina won the center piece from my table
