This Saturday was our kick-off for Youth Group. We started the new year with Summer Smash. We were very excited because we had quite a few new kids show up, and we are praying that they will continue to come.
We started the evening with a game called "Bigger or Better". Each team starts with one penny and you go from door to door in the community asking for anything bigger or better than what you have. Thank goodness Aaron was willing to let us use his truck to haul stuff back to the church!
We got quite a few things, which we are going to donate to our youth group garage sale this weekend.
After the game we had pizza for dinner and watched a movie, then Josh gave a brief presentation as to what the new year has in store for the kids.
It was a very successful night; the kids had fun along with Joshua, J.D. and myself, and on Sunday night we had two of the kids come back for our first night of youth group, along with two other new kids!

Josh's team got a baby stroller, a tricycle, $20, a feather pillow
and a box of computer disks

My team ended up with a dining room table and a home gym exercising machine
(both of which are in the bed of Aaron's truck)

That sounds lke so much fun, I wish the church down here would do that game and come to my house, they would need a big U Haul.
