Rest Area Coverage

Tonight we did a shift for the rest area coverage where we provide free refreshments for the commuters. This is a fundraiser that our church does to help cover the cost of new chairs for our fellowship hall.

Before we got there, my parents recieved a call saying that there was no water due to some problems and that we were to bring our own water for the coffee and cocoa. We had to tell people that the bathrooms were out of service. Needless to say, the desperate ones headed off into the woods...those remaining who could manage to make it were told to continue on for another five miles to service stations. Thankfully, just before our shift was done, they got the water back up and running.
